Meet Lisa-Marie, who joined MAPA in 2001 and now leads as our Principal. A true powerhouse, she teaches everything from woodwind and guitar to dance and A-Level Music. She’s the creative force behind our Summer Showcase and the award-winning VIG Theatre Company. With a background in jazz saxophone and choreography, she brings extraordinary talent and passion to all she does.

Meet Emma Jayne, vocal coach and founder of both the VIG Theatre Company and “Voices” choir. A seasoned performer with a rich background in rock, pop, and musical theatre, Emma has also taught drama for years and is an Associate of the London College of Music. After leading MPAA as Principal for 10 years, she now serves as Vice Principal while balancing family life.

Meet Pip, our guitar and bass teacher since 2001, with an impressive history as a session musician for iconic bands like T-Rex and Mott The Hoople. After years in the music industry, he moved to Wales, opened a recording studio, and later helped shape the Rock & Pop BTEC course at Coleg Gwent. A talented writer and actor, Pip enjoys composing rock operas in his spare time.

Andrew has enjoyed a colourful list of roles with local theatre companies. He treads the boards several times a year with companies in both musical theatre & straight plays, and he played Cinderella’s Prince when VIG performed Into The Woods; a role which saw him take home a few awards. As well as running the Academy office, Andrew works in advertising for local newspapers.
